Elizabeth Taylor's go to for costume jewelry.....Ciner is a company out of New York City, founded in 1892. They started out as fine jewelers, but after the stock market crash of 1929, started to design costume jewelry. The company stopped production during World War II to help produce munitions for the war. By 1946, Ciner continued their costume jewelry production, often being featured in Vogue & Glamour magazines. In 1966, a Ciner necklace was featured in the cover of Vogue. Ciner jewelry was sold by the best retails such as Saks Fifth Avenue and Neiman Marcus, and Lord & Taylor. Just recently, Ciner jewelry stopped producing jewelry.
